Merry CHRISTmas!

Merry CHRISTmas!

Yesterday, while doing last minute shopping, a man stopped me and my friend to tell us Merry CHRISTmas, then said, "I hope I didn’t offend you!" I said, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" We told him we were glad to hear the words.
A young man told me this week, "I hate Christmas!" I said, "you know what…..it’s not about you or me, it’s all about Jesus." No matter what, if there are no gifts, no tree, no songs, no food, Christmas will still come.
Very rarely do I hear the words, "Merry CHRISTmas" on TV, out shopping and even our landlord told us "Happy Holidays". Department stores, the mall, grocery stores, the stock market raises and all make money because of CHRISTmas, yet society wants to take the CHRIST out of CHRISTmas. They cannot be separated. Jesus is the CHRIST. Society sees CHRISTmas as a ‘money making’ season instead of seeing the true meaning of this time of year.
It is no wonder our nation is in the condition we are in. This year is the first time our great nation is without a president who recognizes God as creator. The president said standing at the podium, if he were asked to choose between being a Christian or a Muslim, he would choose Muslim. So if American is invaded by the Muslims who is the president going to stand by? Who will the White House Cabinet stand by? Who do you think?
I love CHRISTmas. This is my favorite time of the year. I would love to have CHRISTmas year round, not for the gifts but for the happiness, love, joy and cheer that is spread abroad. Take time to read the CHRISTmas story in Luke 2:1-20.
Tell your children and family, friends and Merry CHRISTmas my dear loved ones. May God bless you in 2010 as never before. May we stand for America and be proud of our Christian heritage.

CHRISTmas 2009

May God have mercy on us all.

May God have mercy on us all.
Last night at church a message was preached that has stirred my soul. Please read:

We must look around and surely see the end time is near, ‘even at the door’. You’re saying, "I have heard that all my life", well I have too. But do you not see the end is here, even at the door. We must pray, as we never have before. Read God’s word and believe what we read. People in public office and on TV is denying God. People who once said they believe in God are denouncing HIM and His deity, and we ourselves are living as though we will live on this earth forever and just have a ‘good ‘ol time’.
We are going places and doing things we know not to do. Do you really think Jesus went with you into that bar where you drank yourself silly? Do you think Jesus went with you into the movie theater to watch that rated X movie, or watched that naughty video on TV? What were you thinking?
Our country is in distress. Our country is in a mess. What are we doing to make things better? How long do you really think God is going to allow this to continue? God is Supreme. He is just, and mighty. God cannot look upon sin. If you are not praying to Jesus for help, you are in a very bad state my friend. Jesus is our mediator, and if you don’t have a mediator you are lost without God in your life. A very dangerous place to be.
We are just like the people of Noah’s day and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. You don’t think so? Read the paper, watch the news on TV, or looked at the internet. Sin is everywhere. What will you do if someone comes and points a gun to your head and tells you to denounce Jesus or die. What will you do? We MUST call on the Name of Jesus.
II Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Friends, we have got to humble ourselves and pray for our country, for our families, for our neighbors, for our very own soul. We need to ask for forgiveness. None of us is without sin. If you think you’re without sin, you are badly mistaken. We ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of the Lord. We MUST pray every day and ask for forgiveness every day. Pray, pray and then pray some more.
When was the last time you actually prayed for America? What about our soldiers and their families, or do we even care? When was the last time you went to church and listened with spiritual ears to the Word of God, or sang praises to Jesus? One day it really will be too late. Don’t wait.. Our only hope is to call on the Name of Jesus.
America was founded upon a love and trust in God. Schools were first started in America so we could read the bible. We prayed and God built America up to be the great nation she is or was. Now people in the workplace are not even allowed to say Merry Christmas. They want the CHRIST out of CHRISTmas. Department stores sell Christmas merchandise, yet refuse to say, Merry Christmas", we might offend someone.
Well I want to hear, "Merry Christmas". I want to hear Christmas songs and see nativity scenes and hear about the birth of the Jesus, the Christ child. Jesus IS the reason for this and every season.
When a man or woman walks that last hallway leading to the death chamber in prison, the minister prays with the person and then says, "May God have mercy on your soul." May God have mercy on us all and upon America, our home.

2 Chronicles 7:14

We are speeding towards one world government and the second coming at a Rapid pace.

I remember reading about the children of Israel who turned
From God time and time again, only to realize their mistake
And pray for forgiveness.. Each time, God would forgive them and They would walk with him for a time..

So, we are asking you to join in praying for our nation every Day. God is in control!!!

May God Have Mercy On America & Protect Our Troops.

In Texarkana last week, there were signs in people's yards that said, " America , prayer is our only hope" with 2 Chron. 7:14 underneath. We certainly need God's help!

Our nation is/has been on the slippery slope for a long time. If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great. The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone. However, we can reverse this trend.

2 Chron. 7:14 in God's word He states, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

We must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness. So please join in this plea to our Lord.

A quote from Ronald Reagan. "If we ever forget that we are
One nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."

We have forgotten and this is why the United States of America is in the shape we are in today..

Most people have forgotten that we are one nation under God! Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this!! Please say a Prayer now for our country. Prayer works

The Alabama Judge Roy Moore

The Alabama Judge Roy Moore
(American's need to pray more then ever before.)
Some of you may be wondering what Alabama Judge

Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship
and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama.
The judge's poem sums it up quite well

America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray

We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not
angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee..

~~Judge Roy Moore~~
Let's lift Judge Moore up in Prayer. He has stood firm and needs our support.
IN GOD WE TRUST!

We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;

But brave enough to kill a baby

Prescription for a Tired Spirit

by Norman Vincent Peale

Does what you read in the newspaper depress you? Are you dragged down by the economy and worry?

Some years ago I discovered a way to keep alert and enthusiastic. By memorizing certain statements from the Bible and holding them in my mind, I could in fact restimulate and refresh my spirit. Listed below are seven negative forces at work and seven healing passages from the Bible to counteract them.

WHEN YOU ARE TIRED:

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. (Isaiah 40:29)

There is a difference between normal tiredness and that condition of deep fatigue where all your physical resources seem spent. First, believe that God is the source of all energy-in the sun, in plants and in people. Then try this renewal technique. Lie down and relax as best you can. As you repeat the above words from Isaiah, conceive of the Lord as sending through your body His strength and power until your spirit is renewed.

WHEN YOU FEEL UNLOVED:

Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:16, 17)

Just as men wore armor In the old days to protect themselves from physical attack, you need spiritual armor today to guard yourself from the fiery darts of the hate and evil thoughts all about. The mind can be a battleground. See yourself as defending it with all your spiritual resources of faith and prayer.

WHEN YOU ARE GRIEVING:

I am the resurrection, and the life: be that believeth in Me, though be were dead, yet shall be live. (John 11:25)

The death of a loved one can bring on a crippling sense of defeat and depression. It often causes the mourner to feel that life will never again be filled with happy, buoyant attitudes. But in a sense you are not true to the departed one if you do not face life again with spirit. The above words have a glorious message-Jesus Christ is alive and those who believe in Him live forever.

WHEN YOU ARE HURT BY GOSSIP:

He bath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:5-6)

If someone gossips about you, do not return evil for evil but pray for him. Do not harden your heart, but forgive him. As a means of building up your own inner defenses to slander, practice turning off your mind to the negative. Instead of thinking of what has been said about you, meditate on the positive way in which you can use conversation to God's glory.

WHEN YOU ARE ILL:

The prayer of faith shall save the sick. . . . (James 5:15)

With all illness goes a certain amount of despondency which, in turn, can lead to lack of faith. The prayer of faith says, "I believe." Such a prayer will attune your mind to God and permit His healing forces to operate in you. Many sick people also find it helpful to focus their mind on Jesus when they pray, seeing Him going about Galilee healing every disease, believing that His restoring power is at work today.

WHEN YOU ARE UPSET:

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. (Rev. 21:7)

Low-spirited people often get that way not from one big trouble but from many small irritations-the pinpricks of life. Lacking a strong grip on God. they give m to these daily harassments. The secret of the above passage is to concentrate on the idea that you are a child of God. As God's child you will receive His strength to handle your weakness. With God's power, instead of being overcome, you can overcome.

WHEN YOU HAVE NO PEACE:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:7)

There is a great hunger for peace today. One answer is to seek peace from God and not from man. When God's peace enters our hearts, fear and distrust and violence depart

Burned Biscuits

When I was a little boy, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every
now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had
made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so
long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely
burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see
if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit,
smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't
remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear
butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember
hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And
I'll never forget what he said: "Baby, I love burned biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I
asked him if he really liked his biscuits burned.. He wrapped
me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work
today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt
anyone!"

You know, life is full of imperfect things....and imperfect people.
I'm not the best housekeeper or cook. What I've learned over
the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing
to celebrate each other's differences - is one of the most important keys to creating a
healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you and me today. That we will
learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of our life
and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's
the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where
a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!
